Hydor Tube Ventilation Testimonial

The Maxwell family from Castle Douglas have been pleased with the results of installing Hydor ventilation tubes in their calf shed.
“We had been having problems with calves getting pneumonia. One possible issue was ventilation, this was confirmed when we lit a smoke bomb and it took six minutes for the smoke to leave the shed, when it is advised this should clear in three minutes,” explained Grant Maxwell.
“We approached David Thomson about tube ventilation and went from there. Since the installation of the Hydor Ventilation Tube there has been a huge turnaround with air movement and fresher air in the shed. A smoke bomb now leaves the shed in two minutes instead of the six it took before.”
Grant went on to add: “One day we had a power cut and with the ventilation tube down, it was obvious that calves weren’t as happy and felt uncomfortable in the shed due to having no air movement, when the power came back on and ventilation running again within an hour the air was fresher and the calves were happier. It has definitely helped.”
